Offers 4 times longer service life than BS EN 10244-2 Class A Zinc galvanised wire.
In both 2Life® and 4Life® products the key active ingredient is the coating which gives extra life to the fencing products. This is an alloy of zinc and aluminium. The zinc gives an active, sacrificial and traditional anti-corrosive coating, while the aluminium provides a passive protection by slowing down the sacrificial reaction of the zinc and increasing the lifespan of the coating overall. As its name suggests, 2Life® offers a service life that is 2 times longer than BS EN 10244-2 Class A Zinc galvanised wire.
4Life® has a thicker coating weight of zinc and aluminium than 2Life®, and of course, lasts 4 times longer compared to heavily galvanised. Our fencing staples are made from 4Life® as standard.
The 2Life® products are our standard range and include light, medium, heavy, high tensile and light high tensile stock fencing as well as high tensile and mild steel barbed wire. Barracuda heavy duty high tensile barbed wire and coiled wire are also made of 2Life®.
