High protective layer alone does not guarantee good protection of the wire against corrosion. Most standards define the amount of coating in g/m² spread over the surface, but not the way it is distributed. Deviation from perfect distibution is defined and measured by concentricity.
The example 1 shows a sample with perfect concentricity.
Sample shown on the example 2 has the same amount of coating while providing poor concentricity.
Despite both samples feature same mass of coating in g/m² the life span of the second sample will be significantly shorter.
Unique coating process deployed by ArcelorMittal along with our expertise guarantee perfect coating concentricity on our wire products.
