Flat End steel fibre
The FE – Flat End steel fibre - is a straight fibre with flattened ends. It is sometimes referred to as fishtail. Through the flattening process, the ends become larger which significantly increases the anchorage of the fibre in the concrete matrix rather than relying solely on the bonding between concrete and steel.
FE steel fibres provide excellent workability in the concrete but offer limited anchorage capacity and therefore do not achieve the same level of performance as HE steel fibres.
